AMD Release Radeon 19.11.3 Drivers For Fortnite's DX12 Mode

AMD have today released a minor update to the Radeon Software Adrenaline Edition driver stack that has a fairly singular role. Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.11.3 simply satisfies the need for a new driver to support Fortnite's DirectX 12 rendering mode, a feature for the game that should improve performance across most GPUs - particularly those installed in 'mass-market' budget/low-end systems.

Fortnite's DX12 option is part of the game's v11.20 update, which is anticipated to roll out later this week.

RSAE 19.11.3 also rolls in the improvements from other recent driver releases, notably support for this month's two major brand new PC titles: Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars - Jedi: Fallen Order.

The updated driver package doesn't ameliorate any of the known issues outlined in the prior release, nor does it add to the list present in 19.11.2. In this regard is seems like a stop-gap measure ahead of more major revisions in the near future, and as you might expect is labelled 'Optional' on the driver selection page.

You can download Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.11.3 directly from here, or via amd.com/support after selecting your GPU model. A 'Live Update' option is also available through the Radeon ReLive software utility. The drivers support 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and 10, and AMD GPUs as far back as the HD7000-series.
